Breathe California - Emigrant Bike Trek

September 10, 11, & 12 2010. Coordinator Dennis Bartoldo, N6PMI. Breathe California – Emigrant Trails Bike Trek needs support groups for this event and one of those groups needed is a Communications Team. Would you like to be part of this team? This year we are running out of the KOA camp grounds in Petaluma. As part of the support teams they will feed and take good care of us. The work is riding with the SAG (Support & Gear) vehicles to provide health, welfare, and etc. for the riders. Recommended communications equipment is a two-meter mobile radio with a magnetic antenna mount. Handhelds do not have the power needed to get out in certain areas. The days go from 8:00 a.m. to around 4:00 p.m. and with enough radio operators the work days are not too long, maybe 4 hours or so. If you would like to sign up and help out on one of these three days or would like more information please let me know. Things happen, schedules change and if you can’t make your assignment don’t worry about it. But I would like to know in advance if you would like to help out so I can put together a tentative schedule. Contact Dennis Bartoldo email: dbart@garlic.com or phone: 916-645-1609
